Vicki W. Beyer is a Shareholder and member of Stark & Stark’s Workers' Compensation Group where she concentrates her practice in workers' compensation claims, social security disability, and disability pension appeals for public employees before the Office of Administrative Law.
In March 2008, the New Jersey Supreme Court issued a unanimous decision in favor of Ms. Beyer's client, a permanently disabled former New Jersey Corrections Officer. The case, Guadagno v. Board of Trustees, Police and Firemen's Retirement System, was the first to expand accidental disability retirement compensation under the Police and Firemen's Retirement Systems to include mental disabilities that arise absent an accompanying physical disability.
Ms. Beyer has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Workers' Compensation Law Attorney. She has also qualified as a R. 1:40 Mediator on the Roster of Court Approved Mediators. Ms. Beyer is a frequent speaker on workers' compensation issues and has authored numerous articles as well. She also serves as a Pupilage Leader, on the Executive Board and on the Curriculum Committee of the Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. Ms. Beyer is also actively involved in the community and dedicates her time to the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey where she serves as a mentor, leader and member of the Fund Development Committee.
Ms. Beyer has been honored by her inclusion in Woodward/White's 2007 - 2015 editions of The Best Lawyers in America* and her inclusion in the 2005 - 2015 lists of New Jersey Monthly Magazine's Super Lawyers in New Jersey.* Ms. Beyer was recently named one of New Jersey’s Women Leaders in the Law by ALM Media. In 2005, she also had the added distinction of being included in the list of the Top 50 Female Super Lawyers* in New Jersey.Ms. Beyer is a frequent contributor to the Personal Injury Law Journal.
