John A. CorrShareholder
John A. Corr is a Shareholder and member of Stark & Stark’s Accident & Personal Injury and Mass Tort Groups. Mr. Corr is an experienced trial lawyer and business executive who represents clients in class action, mass tort, and business litigation. Since 2007, lawsuits in which Mr. Corr has served as plaintiffs’ counsel have resulted in settlements and verdicts in excess of $8 billion for his clients.
Mr. Corr has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His more recent experience includes the representation of more than 3,000 Ford dealers in Westgate Ford Truck Sales, Inc. v. Ford Motor Company, a commercial class action lawsuit pending in state court in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He initiated litigation and served as counsel in federal courts in Washington, D.C. and New York in In Re: Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001, where he represented families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in lawsuits against the nation of Iran and a number of Iranian agencies and businesses In litigation pending in Florida state court, Mr. Corr represents addicted smokers seeking compensation for lung cancer and other diseases caused by cigarettes manufactured and marketed by the major tobacco companies. He has also achieved settlements and verdicts for many clients injured by defective drugs. For example, in In Re: Prempro Products Litigation, Mr. Corr was counsel in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Arkansas for more than 300 women diagnosed with breast cancer and other conditions as a result of treatment with hormone therapy drugs.
Mr. Corr began his professional career as a certified public accountant working with a variety of business management teams at an international public accounting firm. He is a past-President and CEO of a family-owned company that operated commercial truck dealerships and leasing companies in Pennsylvania and Florida.
